Lee National Denim Day

This is taking place on my birthday. Unfortunately I won't be here to participate, but here is 1 way my firm is supporting The Komen Foundation .

Lee National Denim Day is an annual event sponsored by Lee Jeans to raise awareness and money in the battle against breast cancer.

Associates may wear denim to work on October 10th in exchange for a $5 contribution to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

All proceeds go directly to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the nation's leading private funder of research dedicated solely to breast cancer.

Funds raised on Lee National Denim Day will be used by the Komen Foundation for research, education, screening, and treatment programs.

The foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen.

In addition to funding research, the foundation and its affiliates fund community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved.
