Today my relatives, classmates, and friends, in California are making their way to the polls to vote ; in an effort to either:
-permit Gray Davis to finish the term to which they initially elected him
or,
-to recall Gray Davis and chose his successor.
This has been a most unusual and at times surreal occurrence to say the very least. Today CNN reports there are no fewer than 135 candidates vying for the opportunity to correct Davis perceived failures.
One thing is certain, the citizenry of California has set a huge political precedence; eddies of which I hope and pray do not ripple into other metropolitan communities across the U.S.
